Design theories and emotion have become fundamental concepts in disciplines like human-computer interaction, user experience, and experience designs. These theories aim to connect design studies with human concerns and explore optimal approaches to design outcomes. However, there is a lack of universally applicable methods to enhance the design process. This research aims to provide a theoretical basis for examining design and emotions by classifying and uncovering their influence in the design process using scientific instruments for measuring emotions and an impartial standard for monitoring facial expressions. This study provides a solid basis for implementing electrodermal activity as an emotion sensor in digital accessibility research.
