Nucleolus organizer regions (NORs) of Allium cepa, Lens culinaris, and Vicia faba chromosomes were stained by a two-step silver staining procedure which is simple and highly reproducible. Polymorphisms are apparent with respect to the size of NORs in the taxa understudy.
