We describe a model applicable to disordered magnetic materials with a large ratio of anisotropy to interaction, which includes interactions between magnetic moments through a mean-field approximation and provides expressions useful to determine the magnetic easy-axis distribution, and also the magnitude of interaction and the direction of the mean field. The angular dependencies of magnetic remanences parallel and perpendicular to the applied field are examined, resulting in good agreement with experiments found in the literature. The dependence of the Curie temperature on the easy-axis distribution and on interaction strength is also analyzed.
