The composition and stereochemical configuration of styrene‐methyl methacrylate copolymers synthesized by total conversion polymerization have been evaluated by 1H‐NMR spectroscopy. The results obtained are discussed and compared with those obtained at low conversion bulk copolymerization. They make it possible to state that the conversion affects to some extent the overall composition of the copolymers and more drastically, the content of tactic sequences in the copolymers.
