Daily determination of the anti‐Rh1 concentration in the serum of 10 volunteers revealed that in 6 of them cyclical variations were present. In all cases, the period was very similar. The decrease of antibody in the downward phase averaged from 3 to 7% per day, being approximately constant for each case. This is felt to represent catabolic removal of antibody IgG. The findings are interpreted in terms of feedback regulation of the antibody response, and it is postulated that a time‐dependent sensor mechanism may be operative, since in all cases the period of the cycle was the same.
