Three Ti−M 2 (M 2 = Ni, Pd, Pt) heterobimetallic complexes, [(η 3 -methallyl)M 2 (Ph 2 PN t Bu) 2 TiCl 2 ](OTf), were synthesized in which a Ti IV ←M 2 interaction was suggested by crystallography and DFT calculations. The Ti IV ←M 2 interaction enhanced electrophilicity of the η 3 -methallyl ligand of M 2, leading to high reactivity of the η 3 -methallyl moiety with Et 2 NH compared with that of the dppp analogue.
