Repeated injections of rabbit antiserum against mouse thymocytes (ALS) were found to increase the survival rates of mice infected with low doses of influenza A2 virus. Purified immunoglobulin of such rabbit antiserum (ALG) produced the same survival effect without affecting virus growth in lung or serum antibody responses. Lung consolidations of virus infected mice were clearly reduced by ALG administration.
