An analog pulse divider has been developed for use with one- and two-dimensional high-resolution, position-sensitive detectors. The dividing element is a four-quadrant multiplier. The accuracy is better than 1% over dynamic ranges of 1:10 for the energy signal and approximately 1:100 for the position signal, respectively. Division is carried out in approximately 12 μsec.
