Halogenated pyridines V.Fluorinated and brominated pyridine compounds. Ring chlorinated 3‐chloromethyl‐pyridines provide a source of new halogenopyridines the fluorination of which is described. Variously substituted 2, 6‐dibromopyridines are prepared from the corresponding dichloro compounds by halogen displacement with hydrogen bromide in acetic acid at elevated temperatures.
