Results of BET adsorption measurements on a‐c and d‐c sulfuric acid anodic films on aluminum have been compared with results of pore counts and with coating ratio figures. Both real surface and volume were measured. A roughness factor should be introduced in order to obtain an agreement between data from different sources.
