A two-potential approach is used to obtain the differential cross sections (DCS) and angular correlation parameters for the resonance (2s to 2p) excitation on the lithium atom by electron impact at energies of 10, 20 and 60 eV. The DCS are also presented for the forbidden (2s to 3s) transition. The computed results are compared with other theoretical calculations and experimental data.
