For the first time a detailed magnetic-resonance investigation is reported for a bound exciton in a III-V semiconductor. The 1.91-eV emission due to Cu in GaP shows triplet-exciton optically-detected-magnetic-resonance spectra. These excitons are bound at $〈001〉$ isoelectronic centers, which we assign to CuGa²⁺-CuI¹⁺ pairs.
