Viscosity may induce diffusion control in the initial cure stages. A kinetic model is proposed to describe the phenomenon. The model predicts qualitatively different temperature dependencies for the effective activation energies evaluated from isothermal and nonisothermal cure data. The differences can be detected when using the isoconversional method to evaluate the activation energies. Theoretical conclusions are illustrated by simulated and experimental data.
