The relationship between creep and stress relaxation is investigated. It is found that large changes in the slope of stress-relaxation master curves are reflected as minute slope changes in creep master curves under some conditions. It is pointed out that while a system with a narrow distribution of relaxation times and a Maxwell body are almost identical in creep, they should be easily distinguishable in stress relaxation.
