An ordered self-organizing film of amphiphilic polymer composed of hydrophilic ethyldiamine−epichlorohydrin slightly cross-linking networks and hydrophobic stearoyl side chains was fabricated by slow evaporation of organic solvents. The self-assembling film has a well-ordered, partially interdigitated layer structure which is different from that of the bulk material confirmed by X-ray diffraction, polarized ATR-IR spectra, and DSC.
