Synopsis All existing type-material has been studied of the Oriental Tachinidae described by Wiedemann: generic combinations and specific synonymies are confirmed or newly established as indicated by the examination of the types. One generic and twenty-two specific names are newly synonymised; nine lectotypes and one neotype are designated.
