Variations in intensity measurements at 5100 Å resulting from temperature changes have been recorded using a 0.5 m Ebert scanning spectrometer equipped with a dual unilateral curved jaw slit assembly. Photons were detected by either a S-13 or S-5 photomultiplier. The variations were found to be consistent with an effective change of −0.10±0.02 μ/°C in the width of the spectrometer slits and with sensitivity changes of −0.8 and −0.45%/°C for the S-13 and S-5 tubes, respectively.
