Key Points

To examine integration architectures, security mechanisms, digital twin implementations, and resource-aware optimization strategies across cloud-edge computing in industrial IoT environments.
Reviewed contemporary distributed computing frameworks connecting physical industrial processes with digital cloud-edge infrastructure.
Analyzed threat models, cryptographic protocols, and security perimeters specific to heterogeneous industrial edge networks.
Evaluated computational resource allocation algorithms and digital twin synchronization techniques under bandwidth and latency constraints.
Demonstrated that partitioning workloads between local edge nodes and centralized cloud servers reduces transmission latency while safeguarding critical operational data.
Identified digital twins combined with resource-aware edge computing as essential for real-time fault detection and predictive asset maintenance across complex industrial plants.
