Case report demonstrates continent urinary diversion in complex radiation-induced vesicovaginal fistula, highlighting alternatives when conventional repair fails.
Radiation-induced vesicovaginal fistula (RVVF) is a severe late complication of pelvic radiotherapy, characterized by tissue fibrosis, ischemia, and poor healing capacity [ 1 , 2 ]. In cases involving bilateral ureteral compromise and total destruction of the urethral sphincter mechanism, conventional reconstructive repairs are often unfeasible, requiring continent urinary diversion [ 3 ].
