Literature review demonstrates synergistic electromagnetic properties in polyconjugated magnetic nanocomposites, highlighting their potential for energy storage and radiation shielding.
The review relying on original papers summarizes and analyzes literature data, primarily from the last decade, on magnetic composites based on polyconjugated systems. Modern strategies for the synthesis of two-component (polymer–magnetic nanoparticles) and three-component (polymer–carbon nanoparticles–magnetic nanoparticles) hybrid materials are considered. Particular attention is focused on the in situ oxidative polymerization method, as well as synthesis strategies for core–shell structures. It has been shown that the choice of synthesis method determines the degree of interaction between the components and, consequently, the functional characteristics of the materials. The electrical, magnetic, and electrochemical properties of the nanocomposites, determined by synergistic interaction between the components, are analyzed. The potential for these materials to be used as electromagnetic radiation absorbers and supercapacitor electrodes is demonstrated. Main directions for further research in the field of creating multifunctional magnetic nanomaterials are outlined.
