The novel characteristics of power propagation of guided modes in the chiral nihility flber have been investigated theoretically. The formulas of electromagnetic flelds in the core and cladding for guided modes are presented in detail. The dispersion equations, energy ∞ux and power of guided modes are derived. The numerical results are given and discussed. Some exotic features of power propagation have been found in the chiral nihility flber.
