Adsorption of zinc and cadmium ions on Brazilian peat was investigated. The study was carried out in batch experiments using 65Zn and 115Cd as radiotacers. Adsorption isotherms were determined at pH 4.5 at 20°C and Langmuir equation was fitted to the results with a correlation coefficient 0.99.
