The spectral distribution of electron and hole photo-enhanced SCLC in tetracene crystals has been studied in the spectral range h v ⪅ 1.2 eV. The photosensitivity observed has been related to photoionization of filled quasi-continuous traps. Agreement has been found for the measured spectral distribution of photocurrent and values obtained by a model suggested. Photoionization processes in molecular crystals are discussed.
