The synthesis of cyclopent[hi]acephenanthrylene (CPAP), a dicyclopenta‐fused derivative of phenanthrene, is described. The 4,5‐dihydro and 4,5,6,7‐tetrahydro derivatives of CPAP were also prepared. These novel compounds are characterized by means of 1H‐NMR, UV‐VIS and mass spectrometry.
