The effect of different dopants, chosen among transition elements, on the photoelectrochemical behavior of polycrystalline n‐type electrodes was investigated. Except for Cd doping, all other impurities studied are shown to induce a drastic decrease of quantum efficiency of the photoanodes simultaneously with a shift of the photoresponse towards the visible light.
