The intra-arterial administration of 0.5 µg of angiotensin immediately prior to renal angiography may increase diagnostic accuracy in cases of renal and renal pelvic carcinoma. As cysts and neoplasms may coexist in the same kidney, the authors recommend the injection of angiotensin to reveal tumor vessels.
