Arachin when exposed to 1.7M‐guanidine hydrochloride is changed to slowly‐sedimenting material by way of an intermediate sedimenting component similar to the arachin dissociation product. After removal of the guanidine hydrochloride by dialysis, the dissociation‐association reactions of the apparently unchanged arachin occur normally.
