Summary Two patients with aplastic anemia (one of them suffering from familial Fanconi anemia) are presented, in whom treatment with anabolic steroids and corticosteroids resulted in marked improvement. Our limited experience indicates that methan‐drostenolone produces much fewer side effects and may be as effective as testosterone in this condition.
