The anisotropy of the field emitted by an anisotropic Gaussian Schell-model source is considered. The far-zone behaviour is shown to depend on three independent source parameters. Using such parameters as Cartesian coordinates, a representative space for the sources can be constructed from which the source features required for a prescribed far-zone anisotropy behaviour can be easily deduced.
