This work was commissioned by the DoH to investigate the impact of the 1990 NHS and Community Care Act. The report, which investigates social services for people with dementia, is packed with information but lacks clear aims and objectives. The authors have tried to intersperse some fairly dense statistical information with liberal quotes from the subjects of the study. However, the purpose of the analyses is not always clear.
