Model-independent analysis demonstrates a compact electric quadrupole transition current in the Delta(1232) baryon, highlighting localized spatial dynamics within nucleon structure.
Using a scaling approach based on the Patterson function, we reconstruct the electric quadrupole transition current of the Δ(1232) baryon. The Patterson profile yields a half‑maximum radius of 0.097 fm, while the derived transition current density exhibits a more compact radius of 0.0781 fm. This model‑independent reconstruction emphasizes the spatial localization of the Δ(1232) transition current and offers a fresh empirical perspective on nucleon structure. The findings highlight the need for further theoretical development to integrate these spatial distributions with established baryonic dynamics.
