Theoretical cosmological modeling demonstrates non-singular bouncing solutions in Bianchi type-I spacetime, indicating bulk viscosity facilitates cosmic bounce transitions.
This paper investigates the bouncing cosmological solutions in the framework of f(R,L m , T) gravity, where R denotes the Ricci scalar, L m represents the matter-Lagrangian density and T is the trace of the energy-momentum tensor. For this purpose, we consider a Bianchi type-I spacetime filled with a perfect fluid distribution and incorporate the effect of bulk viscosity through a defined bulk-viscosity coefficient. By adopting a specific functional form of this modified gravity model, we derive the corresponding cosmological field equations and examine their implications for cosmic evolution. The behavior of key cosmological quantities is analyzed to assess the physical viability of the bouncing scenario. The obtained results show that the positive energy density, negative pressure and violation of the energy conditions (ECs) support the presence of a non-singular cosmological bounce. The analysis further indicates that the bulk viscosity plays an important role in modifying the cosmic dynamics and contributing to the transition from contraction to expansion. These findings suggest that the proposed gravitational framework provides a consistent modified gravitational framework for describing bouncing cosmology and offers useful insights into the role of matter-geometry coupling effects beyond the general relativity (GR).
