Nuclear spin lattice relaxation time T 1 of Mn 55 in βMn metal and alloy with 1% Ge has been measured in a temperature range from 1.2 to 300 K. In pure metal the total relaxation rate is separated into the parts due to electron spin-nuclear spin interaction, \(35.3√T\) sec -1 and d orbit-nuclear spin interaction, 1.7 T sec -1 . The alloy with 1.0% Ge shows antiferromagnetism with T N =6 K. The temperature dependence of T 1 in the alloy is compared with the theoretically expected one. Except near T N the observed dependence is in good agreement with the theory. The concentration dependence of T N has been obtained from the peak in 1/ T 1 vs T plot.
