Narrow-band emission-line and continuum imaging in subarcsecond seeing conditions are presented for three Seyfert 2 galaxies: NGC 1068, Mrk 3, and Mrk 573. These images reveal, in addition to a wealth of emission- line structure, an extended, diffuse excess near-UV (3600 A) continuum component that has a conical or biconical morphology aligned with the radio axes of these galaxies. The nature of the diffuse excess near-UV continuum emission, which we interpret as scattered nuclear continuum light, and its implications for current models of Seyfert nuclei are discussed.
