Simple and efficient: In this study, we examined the relationships between siRNA delivery efficacy and aggregating properties for different amino acid-modified polyethylenimines (PEIs). Full modification of the primary amines of PEI with tyrosine enables the polymer to self-assemble into cationic particles and to convey siRNA into mammalian cells very efficiently, even in the presence of serum.
