In order to investigate the fatigue behaviors of beams with web reinforcement, three series of fatigue tests were carried out.Behaviors of 17 beams, especially changes in strains of stirrups due to repeated loading, were carefully observed.Based on the test results, a new equation for predicting stirrup strain under repeated loading was proposed and a tentative design proposal for stirrups in a beam subjected to fatigue loading was made.
