We report the effect of high pressure on the 57Fe Mössbauer effect of ∼60 Å γ-Fe precipitates in copper, as well as in type 310 stainless steel. Using the Mössbauer thermal scan technique at various pressures we find Néel temperatures in both systems to decrease with pressure presumably as expected in a weak itinerant model. The variation of the isomer shift with pressure is also described.
