The present paper discusses anomalous resistivity that arises from electrostatic fluctuation in the lower‐hybrid frequency range. The implicit physical situation is the vicinity of the reconnection onset region. By employing locally uniform approximation, the unmagnetized ion response and fully magnetized electron linear response are computed analytically. On the basis of the response functions, anomalous transport coefficients including the anomalous resistivity are constructed. An order‐of‐magnitude analysis reveals that the anomalous resistivity is much higher in magnitude than the classical resistivity. Dependence of the anomalous resistivity on plasma beta and the cross‐field drift speed is also discussed.
