A patient with a pheochromocytoma underwent adrenal venography and experienced a hypertensive crisis similar to that described following adrenal arteriography for this condition. If the same precautions now employed routinely during arteriography are applied to adrenal venography, the latter procedure can continue to be useful in the preoperative localization of pheochromocytoma.
