Film of microspheres MnO2 and Nafion composite fabricated on glass carbon electrode (GCE) were active for electrocatalytic oxidation of H2O2 in phosphate buffer solution (PBS). The amperometric response to H2O2 obtained at +0.8V (vs. Ag/AgCl) was rapid and highly sensitive. Under the optimized condition, the linear range for the detection of H2O2 was 10.0×10−6 to 15.0 ×10−5 M with a detection limit of 2.0 ×10−6 M and a fast response time of within 5s. In addition, good reproducibility and long-term stability of the sensor make it valuable for further application.
