Magnetic, ferroelectric, and magneto-electric studies are reported on 0.9 BaTiO3-0.1 NixZn1−xFe2O4 (x = 0 to 1.0 at 0.2). The bi-phase nature of the prepared composites is confirmed by the x-ray diffraction measurements. The simultaneous presence of room temperature ferroelectric and magnetic orderings is confirmed by measuring the room temperature P-E and M-H loops of the prepared composites. The magneto-electric behavior is found maximum for the composite consisting of Ni0.8Zn0.2Fe2O4 as magnetic phase, which is explained on the basis of the magnetostrictive behavior of NixZn1−xFe2O4 phase.
