Summary Six species of Paxillaceae are described from New Zealand: Paxillus aurantiacus sp. nov., P. involutus (Batsch ex Fr.) Fr., P. nothofagi sp. nov., P. squarrosus sp. nov., Hygrophoropsis coacta sp. nov., and H. umbriceps (Cooke) comb. nov. Keys to genera and species are given.
