The following revised guidelines3 are proposed for reporting research conducted in plant growth chambers. The precise regulation of environmental parameters attained in growth chambers has enabled investigators to study many plant processes with a precision and reproducibility hitherto unavailable. However, the environmental conditions employed in growth chamber studies often are not reported in detail sufficient to allow comparison of the results with similar experiments, or repetition of the studies in other laboratories.
