Methods are discussed for the synthesis of some acylglycerols and phospholipids using lipolytic enzymes alone or in combination with chemical procedures. The syntheses are limited to those for which the enzymes are commercially available. The compounds mentioned are tri‐, di‐, and monoacylglycerols, phosphatidyl choline and ethanolamine, an alkyl‐acyl‐phosphatidyl ethanolamine, lysoacyl‐phospholipids, phosphatidyl glycerol, sphingomyelin, and sphingosine.
