The boundary-element method based on the charge-field integral equation is derived in order to treat planar transmission lines more flexibly. The method also easily takes floating strip(s) into consideration. The capacitive matrix of a multislot structure and the coupling coefficient of microstrip and CPW structures with floating strip(s) have been calculated.
