In this study, anti‐oil stained ultrafiltration membrane was prepared by grafting a polyethylene glycol diacrylate macromer onto a plasma‐activated polysulfone membrane. The macromer formed a hydrate layer which prevented oil in emulsion from directly contacting the membrane surface, thus preventing the oil from staining the membrane.
