The method of numerical iteration of the surface current integral equation is successfully applied to the perfectly conducting classical Sommerfeld wedge and to a truncated wedge on a plane. Numerical errors are calculated for both the integral equation and the boundary conditions. The backscatter polarization ratio (σHH/σVV) at 85° incidence for the truncated wedge is shown to be 20 dB below values reported by previous workers.
