Global climate change is a threat to biodiversity. Sustainability education and actions are essential to help with biodiversity conservation, yet there are gaps in understanding young children’s ability to take action. This article presents several engaging activities for young children related to endangered species at risk due to climate change. We share the results from our summer STEM camp with children aged three through six. The activities incorporate endangered species from across the globe and ways that we can help conserve them. Student examples are used to show how young children show empathy toward animals, can spread awareness, and take action.
