By using an a-cut GdVO 4 crystal as the Raman-active medium, a KTP crystal as the frequency-doubling medium, and an Nd : YAG crystal as the gain medium, a small scale (10 cm) and efficient diode-pumped intracavity frequency-doubled Raman laser is obtained. When the pulse repetition frequency is 15 kHz and the incident pump power is 10.1 W, the obtained average laser power at 58 nm is 763 mW. The pulse width is 3.8 ns and the corresponding peak power is 13.4 kW.
