Contributions to the electron impact ionisation of Ca + resulting from 3p to 3d inner shell excitations, followed by autoionisation, are calculated using an LS term-dependent close-coupling method. The Ca + results are compared with previous distorted-wave calculations and the experimental measurements of Peart and Dolder (1975).
